Interesting book, lets you see what was going on in Iraq from an unbiased point of view, not military or governmental. The boys way of life is something else, but it takes all kinds to get the views all the way around.

A steady main character, you just know everything will turn out fine.
A good book to read if you just want an easy, well written story that is most enjoyable.
Thanks Jon Hassler for this series!

This book has much history as this author is excellent at that. The people are strong, weak, lucky, unlucky, etc. and it will turn you around and set you on your head!

Leaving Mother Lake: A Girlhood at the End of the World

Because the book takes place in a foreign country in the back of beyond where government has a more difficult time reaching, makes it a lure to me and very interesting. I like to read how things are done in these places, food, beliefs, religion.... Interesting.
