I loved this book from beginning to end. It speaks to relationships among all women, not just women of different backgrounds. Couldn't put it down!

Slow, boring novel. I tried severeal times to read it and never got more than half way through. I don't know why Oprah liked it. Perhaps you have to read the whole thing, but I just couldn't waste my time with it.

Novel had a really great premise and storyline, but then the author seemed to have trouble figuring out where to go with it. Hated the ending (actually, the whole last 1/4 of the book, to be honest.)

I really enjoyed this book. The characters in the story are so interesting and well-developed. We had a lot to talk about in book club with this story. The author really delves in to personal sins and character motivations.

This was an incredibly moving story, with characters that were very real and heart-felt. I cried several times. Though I thought I would have difficulty with the story as I have children of my own, I acutally found myself feeling very blessed. Heart-wrenching with an uplifting ending.
