The Josie Marcus Mystery Shopper series is always fun. This one definitely kept me guessing!

As the earlier reviewer mentioned, I enjoy that cast of characters and the parrot, Bluebeard, who also occasionally channels Glory's late uncle. And, as the earlier reviewer mentioned, the title has little to do with the plot, and honestly, I didn't quite the significance of the postcard element anyway. Not quite as satisfying as earlier installments of the series, but I'll give it another chance if No. 4 comes along.

I found Ms. Murphy's first foray into the world of Dorothy Parker and the Algonquin Round Table to be a bit forced. The constant barrage of sarcastic quips made for an uneven and unpleasing read. She touched in passing on life in New York during Prohibition and the 1920's, but not enough for my taste. I don't think i will be waiting for the next installment.

Enjoyable period mystery that spent time building the sense of the time - nice details.
