Interesting pairing of two subjects: The World's Fair and serial killer Dr. H.H. Holmes.

Creepy, as expected from Dean Koontz, yet laugh-out-loud funny in some places. Stinky Cheese Man - eeeew!

Better than "Songs in Ordinary Time", not quite as good as "A Dangerous Woman". A good read.

Another endearing story. Billie Letts's voice is unmistakeable.

An EXCELLENT book. I laughed, I cried, but I can't part with it! It's definitely a keeper. The good news is it's supposed to be the first of a trilogy. I'm still waiting....

Not as good as The Alienist or The Angel of Darkness, but still a good read. A must for Carr fans.

Haunting. The New York Times called it "a slim volume of terrifying power". I heartily agree.
