Excellent, fast paced, with skilled characterization. I took this book on an airline trip and really did not mind that my plane was delayed, as I was so involved with the book! If you enjoy a well done crime story, with believable and memorable characters, I'd highly recommend this book.

The book started well, but after 150+ pages, I became bored and wondered where the story was going to "pick-up." The text/story wandered and did not seem to have a point. I gave up and never finished it.

I read this book about 10 yrs ago and still remember much of the story; in fact, it won't be traded off my bookshelf. The story provides an excellent description of what it took to build a cathedral without long, boring details. Believable characters and several well-done story lines keep the reader engaged; I could not put it down. This book is highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a great read; it would work especially well on an airplane trip, as it has the page numbers to combat the endless airport delays so rampant today. The story fights airport boredom well! :-)

Good book to take along on a trip. This is a fantasy romance (unicorns; princes; an empty throne in a troubled kingdom; etc.). The story keeps one's attention and the characters are interesting, if somewhat predictable. Of course, there is a happy ending!

I recently spent 11 days camping and the recipes in this book provided me with easy and delicious, as well as nutritious, meals. I would especially recommend the "Oatmeal Hotcakes" recipe. Most recipes can be put together in advance and scaled up or down to accommodate various group sizes. Nutrition information (calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat, calcium, & cholesterol content) is included for most recipes.
NOTE: The only ingredient that was difficult for me to find was powdered egg, so I simply omitted it. This did not have any significant effects on the recipes.
