Louise Penny is the best author I have read in a long time. The characters are believable and once you get to know them, they become part of your life. the little town of 3 Pines is perfect and picturesque. The series will instantly become your favorite, I promise.

Tony Hillerman has a way with words! I always feel like I am there, in the four corners area of the desert. He brings it to life and the characters all become people I know by the end of the book. I might add that he keeps me guessing who done it as well. Another wonderful mystery.

Wow, I admit I have not considered, before reading this book, how taken for granted is our lifestyle. This story opened my eyes to consider what is really important and how , with god, all things are possible. When all sources of power are distroyed the Brannen family learned what relying on God alone really means
