I enjoyed this book very much. It is the second book of a very talented author. It is about human condition and does a great job provoking thoughts about human nature. There is excellent character development including the relationships between mother and child, sisters and friends with moments of inspirations, grief, happiness and forgiveness.
This book is written with such vivid detail that I was hooked from page one. It's not a fast read, but very good. I was attached to the characters and felt like I knew them so well that I wondered was happened to them in the future. My heart wrenched for them in times of sorrow and grief and I was in awe during inspiring moments.
This is a great fantasy book that feels like it could take place in any small town. The details are wonderful and the use of time and mystery is engrossing.
I was a little disappointed with the ambiguous ending, but I like the fact that I could ponder what happened afterward. I heavily recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautifully written story.

This is a cute book! It teaches a lot of different things, it has rhyming, numbers, baking, measuring and at the end of the story it teaches about sharing! This book is especially great for teachers or for people teaching little ones!

This is supposed to be gripping thriller, but it didn't do it for me. It was predictable. It was interesting and enlightening to read into the mind of a victim of domestic violence, even one of fiction.

I couldnt get through this book. I found the violin to be very fascinating, but I had a very difficult time following the characters and the story. I eventually gave up. There is a story there and the words are very descriptive, however, I needed the story to cut to the chase for me to stay interested.

Like so many others, I purchased this book on my kindle to find out what was so very exciting about this book.
Well, nothing. I actually read all three books. It was like watching a train wreck, I just had to know how bad it was going to get. It is completely unbelievable. Virgin college girl meets 26 year old self-made billionaire. He has an abusive background and is into S&M.
The writing is AWFUL. The character development is very poor. The sex scenes are boring. There is so much repetition in the book that it's shocking. The author has about 10 phrases and she throws them in the book as often as she can. Did someone read this book before it was published? I was reading some of this book out loud to my husband and we laughed at it because it was so ridiculous.
People, are you just now finding out about S&M and this is why the book is so exciting? This is the only thing I can think of why this book is so popular. This book is on several top selling lists and the rights of the movie are going for millions of dollars. WHY!? This is not a good romance novel. This is not good fiction. This is not even good erotica. People, save your money and your time and read another book.

This was a very interesting book about the author's daughter, Sally.. This book was engrossing and I read it in the matter of hours. Sally shows classic symptoms of bipolar disease, even though at a younger age than most, and the story develops through the diagnosis and treatment. The author goes through a journey of redeveloping all of the relationship and connections with people in his life because of the defenselessness he felt while his only daughter "was struck mad".
The author does a good job developing characters in the book and describing relationships between him and his ex-wife, current wife, brother and his daughter. There are also side stories of other psyche patients that are very interesting. The nurse in me was eager to read more about the symptoms, treatment, treatment facility and other patients, however this book was not so much about bipolar disorder but about how his daughter's diagnosis has affected everyone around her and how people are affected by the mental illnesses of loved ones around them.
I recommend this book to people who are interested in mental illness, bipolar disorder or for a powerful, self-reflecting memoir.
