Written by a mother of 5, this book is to the point, because there are diapers, dishes, laundry, etc, not time to read huge books! In sections, there are concise lists of concrete activites, prayers, children's books, resources for you - all for practical teaching & living your Catholic faith with your children.

A nice little Christmas gift for a young reader. It contains stories, poems. What I like is they aren't the same tales you've heard every year, with the exception of Clement Moore's "A Visit From St. Nicholas".

My son, a Star Wars fan since he was young, loves this series, every book of it, no matter how old he gets. The only reason he's letting me post this copy is that it's a duplicate. He's hoarding the series he enjoys them so much.

Book is packed with full color images of Russian lacquer art, 250 rare, highly prized pieces from the 1800's to 1970's. Includes some closeups, rich depth of color, plus all information & credits about the boxes, pins, etc. I found it to be a lush buffet of this beautiful art form.

Read by Philippe De Montebello. One cassette tape that is crammed with stories of the gods, their Greek & Roman names, history & antics. Starts with the concept of the physical world of the time. Box includes a "family tree" of the gods cover.

Unlike other gift-making books, this one has many I'd ACTUALLY give or would even enjoy getting. There's 75+ ideas that are cheerful (not cute-sy) and up-to-date. Color pictures throughout, patterns and instructions.

Great book for answering the question: What do I need math for? Plus lots of fun and learning.

Good for the busy person due to simple format. Each "day" consists of a very short reading for the morning, then a one-sentence thought for the day, then a short prayer for the evening.

One of the series of books written by Sid Fleischman about Farmer McBroom and his family. Tall tale humor such as hanging chickens in cages in the barn as lanterns because they glow from eating lightning bugs! This is a Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Edition.
Review Date: 3/10/2006
Another funny tall tale by Sid Fleischman about Josh McBroom and his large family of "young'uns" on a one-acre farm. This one is a winter tall tale as amusing as his others in the series.
