This was the second book I have read by Picoult and again I found myself wrapped into the story after page one. This book challenges you to see a situation from many points of view. The author takes a subject such as suicide and allows you to see into the mind of everyone involved. Great book!

I always enjoy books were I am reminded that my childhood was not as unusual as other people. This memoir is a candid collection of stories about a mother with mental illness, an alcoholic father and the Finch's. It never ceases to amaze me what happens behind closed doors!

Good book. I have a lot of interest in Alaska so these book held my attention. The author is a "master of storytelling" and this is a good example but not my favorite of hers. Regardless, she is one of my favorite authors.

I am embarrassed to say that this is the first time I read short stories. I guess I just thought I wouldn't like not be able to grow with or into a character as I normally do with books. But this author does an incredible job of bringing you in quickly and allowing the story to end where it should. I will say it is not for the faint of heart and to be prepared for graphic sexual content- not hot and steamy type stuff- I will leave it at that. PM me if you need to know more before getting this book.
