Wow! What a book! I just love Catherine Anderson, but on this one she really out did herself! Her characters are always so real, they have strengths & weaknesses, sometimes they act in ways you completely understand, while others act completely irrationally. In this story Catherine Anderson brings you back in history to a time where spousal abuse was completely unheard of or ignored. She shows us horrific, unimaginable events, but tells them in a way where you see & feel it all. At the same time she seems to wrap you in a protective blanket and tell you it will all be ok. What an author! What a ride! I just couldn't put the book down, it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Enjoy!

You will either love this book or hate it, you will definitely have an opinion one way or the other! I loved it! I always trade my books, because I never read them a second time, but this one will be read again!
I almost stopped reading this book a couple of times, because it is disjointed, but there was just something about the writer's style that kept me engaged. After a while you get used to jumping around in the story, the pieces begin to fit together, the tension rises and you never want to put the book down.
I recommend you have a box of kleenex available.

This book was great, if you like the romance books that have the couple fighting like cats & dogs you'll like this one also! Then sprinkle in a little magic, walla you have this book!

I was looking for something different and this was perfect! The book is very light reading, very funny and enjoyable! The main character gets herself into some wonderfully strange, funny situations!
