This is an excellent book for teaching children the basics of our faith. We went through this book with our 9-year-old son last year, and I was impressed with how clearly the various doctrines were explained. I would definitely recommend this book.

As it is with every other Kingsbury book I've ever read, I loved this book! It isn't quite as good as the first 5 books, but it's still VERY good! I can't wait to read the next one...

Disney's Doug Funnie. 5 mysteries in 1 book.
From the back of the book:
"Calling all Doug fans and aspiring sleuths! Join in all the madcap, mysterious fun in the seemingly normal town of Bluffington as Doug and the gang unravel five new mysteries.
Have yodeling aliens invaded Mr. Bone's cavities?
Is a creepy cretin out to pulverize Patti's campaign?
Why has Porkchop become a mean barking machine?
The answers to these questions -- and more -- await Doug fans clever enough to follow the clues and sniff out the suspects.

The blurb on the back of the book reads:
"Before cars and airplanes, John Wesley traveled over 200,000 miles--more than eight times around the world--to spread the message of the gospel. On horseback, in wagons, on foot, and by ship, John Wesley spread a message of personal holiness, spiritual discipline, and Christian charity. It wasn't easy. Besides the hard physical travel, John Wesley faced times of doubt, sickness, and opposition to his message. But through his eighty-seven years of life, he reached untold numbers of people with God's Word. He was a man of God, and a man of action. Get to know John Wesley--The Horseback Preacher!"

This IS the same Karen Kingsbury who wrote the Redemption Series, but it was before she had experienced God's redemption herself.

Written by a Christian youth group leader, this book is for teens. It is well-written, entertaining, and very easy to read. The author, Wayne Rice, lays a spiritual foundatin for mutual respect, common understanding, and getting along with parents. The back of the book says, "This book can change your life... change the life of your family...and change your relationship with those sometimes-weird parentl units who hang around the kitchen, hog the TB, and act like it's their own house."

Blurb on back reads: "More than feasting & football. This helpful booklet from Dr. D. James Kennedy examines the rise and fall of Thanksgiving and how Christians can restore our beloved national holiday. Restoring the Real Meaning of Thanksgiving finds the origin of our modern holiday in the Pilgrims' practice of thanksgiving -- a custom itself adapted from an Old Testament tradition, the Feast of Tabernacles. our American practice of Thanksgiving was by design a day to remember the God of our Fathers and His blessings on our land. Not anymore. Today, Thangsgiving is all about feasting and football. And while restoring Thanksgiving will require a culture-wide renewal, Dr. Kennedy, with coauthor Dr. Charles Hull Wolfe, outlines steps believers can take now to restore their own Thanksgiving Day observance."

Blurb on back of book reads: "Health, finance, family, the future--life is full of questions. There are deeper questions, too. Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? Does life have any purpose? But the ultimate questions are about God. Does he exist? What is he like? Can I know him and experience his power in m life? And if so, how? This booklet tackles these vital questions head-on -- and answers them simply, clearly and directly. Read it carefully. It could change your life -- forever."
