The recipes in this book are not only good for you, they're also GOOD. I have to admit that I was surprised at that. No complicated techniques or ingredients are required, either.

Lighter, Quicker, Better is more than a collection of good recipes; the authors conversationally describe how they developed the recipes to be lighter, quicker versions of popular dishes you'd want to make. They have a realistic approach to keeping food tasting good while eliminating unneeded fats, calories, and ingredients.

This is a very pretty book, with a full-page full-color photo of each recipe. The recipes are extremely varied, from pasta salads to vegetarian, meat, and seafood meals, and even few pasta desserts, too.

If you're looking for recipes that help you save time by incorporating some pre-made ingredients (cake mix, refrigerated biscuits, or a can of soup), then you'll find plenty of recipes in this book to help you prepare entrees, side dishes, and desserts. There's a nice selection, from fancy seafood dishes to quick snacks.
