Contrived story with simplistic dialogue and thin plot. Found myself skipping paragraphs just to finish it. Expected more after his Finest Hours book. Would not recommend it.

Ok, not one of his better books.

Not a bad book, kept me engaged. Just think the Bosch/Ballard books are getting a little long in the tooth and dull. Connelly should start thinking of new characters and plots that don't have the same plotlines as the last 20 or so of his books.

Thin plot and dialogue, implausible ending. Not one of Dan Brown's best.

50 pages in I had to Google this book to make sure it wasn't for young adults. Author writes at a 3rd grade level; not a bad book but not a great one either. Got about halfway through and decided it wasn't worth it to finish.

At almost 600 pages it seems like a daunting book to read but it's one I couldn't put down. Excellent book and would recommend to anyone even if they are not interested in "war novels."
