A little too heavy on the religious aspect and the reasons the two main characters don't get along but otherwise enjoyable. I liked her book Angel Seeker better

Excellent, realistic and ambitious. Loved every minute of it but not for the squeamish as it has realistic descriptions of human sacrifice.

It was an interesting book, a good example of her style at the time of writing. Sometimes the characterizations seemed a little flat to me but overall I enjoyed it.

Fun series written in 1st person. Interesting characters, good in depth alien cultures, I really enjoyed this book. I hope the author writes more soon.
