Powerful, ugly, gritty, sad, wonderful...there are so many components to this story that I can not express here what emotions boiled through me as I read this story. Everything you thought you knew about Acheron is blown out of the water and replaced with a past that is so horrible it does not make for easy reading. Learning who he is and why he is, makes the other Dark Hunter books so much more brilliant. Do not be intimidated by the size of the manuscript. It flows page after page for a great read. Sherrilyn Kenyon has produced an incredible book.

This is a FANTASTIC story!! My son read the book and then insisted that we listen to it in audio format. I loved it! The Artemis Fowl series was great and this is of the same calibre. The author does NOT disappoint. Follow Connor's story from the moment of his birth through the good and bad times of his life. You will love the characters. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED! :)

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! (This is the first book that I have read by Shelly.) I laughed out loud several times and pretty much kept a smile on my face the for the entire book! I was afraid I was just punch drunk from everything going on around me so I asked my trusted reading buddy check it out and tell me if I was losing it. She immediately started reading and within 60 pages had called to tell me she thought I right. It is so funny!! We now own this entire series and are HUGE Shelly Laruenston fans!! GO SHELLY GO!!! I guess I should say WRITE SHELLY, WRITE SHELLY, WRITE!!!

Had not read this author before so I was pleasantly surprised to discover her sharp wit. The story was entertaining and the characters multi-layered and interesting. The only problem that I had with the story was the cutting instead of biting by the vamps. I know that sounds crazy and I know there are other stories that this happens in but I don't think of it as their "main" access to blood. It reminded me of a teenager that I know with a cutting fetish...sorry but it did. As I said this was the first book I have read by this author but as she made me laugh out loud several times I will be on the look out for another. Milagro is one cool chica.

LOVED IT!! I have read her "Highlander" series and REALLY LOVED them. I loved Mac. (I know I am using "LOVED" too many times but it fits.) I found myself smiling and then giggling out loud a few times. The story draws you in and keeps you there until the very end when you go, "Nooooooooo, not the end!!!" Waiting IMPATIENTLY for the next book in this series.

This book is absolutely wonderful. By the way, the author is my mother-in-law, Peggy Webb, and she really shines in this book. The story is one that many of us have or will face but it is handles with such flair and grace that you find your self laughing and enjoying the ride with Mama, who was based on Peggy's own mother. This book was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2007 so you know you will be in for an exceptionl read. Enjoy!!

LOVED IT!! Elvis and company are at it again. I read this book with a smile on my face and in some instances I laughed out loud. Love the "Southern-ese" that flows through the story. The characters are zany and lovable. The story is jam packed and fast paced. WHAT FUN!! Waiting IMPATIENTLY for Peggy Webb's next release in this series...ELVIS and the MEMPHIS MAMBO MURDERS.

This was a good read. I have loved the other series by this author and she doesn't disappoint with this one. The characters are very likable making you want to hibernate and do nothing but read. Funny and imaginative. Touching. A hard to put down book that leaves you impatient for the next books in the series. BTW they come out one a month from March to June 2009. I have already purchased the second book "Then Comes Seduction" and am starting it tonight!

I requested this book because I read reviews here on PBS and was very intrigued by the blurbs. I enjoyed the story and have requested the next book in the series. The premise is similar to other series I enjoy but it has twists that make for and enjoyably different read. If you are looking for a good series read, I think we have found one.

LOVED IT!! The emotions that these characters evoked throughout this series are so close to the surface during this book that I was both loving the story and hating that this is the end of such a fantastic series. Hard hitting, hard loving and just plain hard to put down. Kudos to Keri Arthur for a wonderful read!!
Riley Jenson and company are characters that you grow to care about and pull for their success. I highly recommend this series. Please read in order as it will enhance the experience. :)

Mr. Peabody's Apples is a wonderful book. The story is so important. It may be a childs book but it is a story that we as adults need to read as well. It reminds us of the power of the spoken work and how nearly impossible it is to take them back once they have been released. The illustrations are lovely. This is my favorite in the series by Madonna.

I love a good time travel book, especially if it is funny and this on is soooo cute and funny. Love the hero who is slightly confused by things from the future but knows to hold on tight to the woman he loves, no matter where or when she's from. Great read!

This is the debut novel from Anna Michaels. It is a magical journey from start to finish. I loved every word. Beautifully written with characters that are incredibly real. It has gotten rave reviews from Pat Conroy, Mary Alice Monroe, Cassandra King and Patti Callahan Henry. Discovering a new author is a wonderful thing. A MUST READ.
