Enjoyed this book. Taking notes on characters, however, is almost a must.

Beautiful book; pictures many items to preserve, such as our Grandmothers made.

I read this book years ago, and probably several times since. I wanted it among my collection of keepers, and now, I have it again. Thank you.

This was my third reading of this book. It is one of the best books I have ever read. I have purchased it several times to give to friends. I absolutely LOVE this book. I am sad that the author passed away and can not give us more of her wonderful writings. It gave a view of war during World War II of the channel islands.

Good story, but sort of a forced narrative with Father Tim meeting almost every old friend from his home town in a 4 day visit.

Very good, and it is a quick read. I do love the Ballad books, but missed Nora Bonesteel, in this one.

As always, Jan Karon keeps us informed about the life of Father Tim.

I am rereading most of Jan Karon's Father Tim/Mitford books. I have read the first 5 plus some more, some years ago. I am rereading; I love these books.

3 great novels all in one book. I especially liked The Cradle Will Fall, very suspenseful to the end. I love having the 3 mysteries all in one book.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. I was used to Mary Higgins Clark's mysteries; I had not read other types of writing she had done. This was a love story. It did not take me very long at all. It was especially enjoyable since I had recently viewed the movie John Adams.

Very confusing with too many characters.

Very good book. I will be anxious to read a book about the next years of the Obama administration.

I enjoyed this book very much. The mystery kept me reading all through the book. I liked the character development, too.

Book was very, very boring except for the parts about Laura growing up. I felt like I was reading a term paper. The parts about her daughter, I thought would never end. I probably should not have stayed with it for the whole book. K Loving

Interesting and with good points for a woman's spiritual development.
