Very funny read - but then you need to read his next book as a follow up.

This is an amazingly good read. I think Bourdain must be a better writer than chef.

One of her first books. I enjoyed it, but not as much as later work.

Not as well written as Into Thin Air, but interesting nonetheless.

I really enjoyed the first novelette, The Third Man. The second story, The Fallen Idol, not as much.

This is a wonderful book - I have given it away to at least ten friends. You will learn a lot of the history of China over the last century, and it will amaze you. The lives of these women could not be more different from one another, yet each fascinating in its own way.
