This is the true story of two of the wisest men in American History. Thomas Jefferson brings the Declaration of Independence to Congress and is upset when his writing is changed and edited. Benjamin Franklin consoles him by telling the tale of a hatmaker who tries to compose the perfect sign for his shop. Everyone seems to find fault with his efforts, until the sign maker comes up with the perfect solution.
This is a great story & a fun way to make history come alive for kids!
