Each book in this set, helped me visualize the wives of King David. They were, afterall, real women. I appreciate Jill Eileen Smith's research. I could picutre what was taking place. Her scripture references were a wonderful addition to the chapters. The Bible is interesting and can be understood more clearly as I view the heroes are humans first.

Each letter of the alphabet is represented by a piece of construction equipment with an easy to understand description. The illustrated pictures look as if they were photographs from an actual site. Both of my boys, ages 7 & 22 months, want to read this book over & over again.

Beverly Lewis has done an excellent job of continuing Nellie's courtship. She introduced new characters that help the reader view another perspective on Suzy's death. She developed a family & shared a real heartwrenching relationship. I am anxious to read the next book but not ready for the series to end.

This devotional is filled with Bible studies that show the magnitude of God shining through men and women He chose. The historical facts are perfect for reinforcing that the Bible is absolutely, positively, 100% true. Many of the stories in this devotional are not the typical story that I had heard in Sunday School. I would highly recommend this devotional to any family that wants to teach their children Bible stories that encourage them to live for God.

incredibly descriptive work - really encouraged me to think about what the real people did for me thru their suffering & deaths to get the Bible available to everyone
I'm still not clear on the angel aspect but willing to read this account from that perspective.

It always helps me as a human to know someone's history in order to be more compassionate. This book revealed a possible story for the Samaritan woman that Jesus encountered @ the well. It is obvious that a great deal of research was done & included in this book. I definitely would recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical fiction with a bit of romance added as well as Biblically based fiction.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. Beverly Lewis has done an excellent job creating a romance between a couple that love God first & then each other. While creating a backdrop for their courtship, she explains rituals & rules. I finished this book with an incredible desire to read the next books to follow.
