Girls Night In (Red Dress Ink)
Review Date: 3/25/2006

from back cover- 21 tales from today's hottest female writers.
In this must-have short-story collection, Jennifer Weiner revisits one of her Good In Bed characters (and tells the story from ahem his point of view).
Jill A. Davis (Girls' Poker Night) offers a darkly humorous take on starting over in New York and working with "the Elizabeths" and Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez (The Dirty Girls Social Club) muses on how different the words lady and woman are when paired with cat.
Girls' Night In features stories about growing up, growing out of, moving out, moving on, falling apart and getting it all together. So turn off your cell phone and curl up on the couch: this is one Girls' Night In you won't want to miss.

* This is an ex library copy, with stamps and writing inside it*

This is her first book and the first book I've read by the author. I could not put it down! There were some really funny parts in it and the story flowed and kept me guessing on who the murderer was.

I will be looking for her other books.

Simply Scandalous!

Carly knew she should stop. She'd started out wanting just one glimpse of the girl, and next thing she was following her around the streets of Manhattan, ducking in doorways to avoid detection, buying unidentified vegetables for cover, and almost knocking over small children in her determination to stay on Taylor's trail.

Carly knew all this, and yet she didn't stop. She couldn't stop.

Once I began reading this book, I couldn't stop. I could not put it down. Carly seems very realistic, like the girl next door. It's easy to see how curiousity can turn into obsession. A very well written book!

A very emotional read, short stories about the Power of God in peoples'lives. Every story touched my heart, and I really enjoyed that each story was written with an object, ribbons, rings, and a baby stocking, keepsakes that people put in a jar to share with others. I'm new to reading Christian fiction, but this book was well worth the time, months later the stories are still touching my heart.
