A Robert Parker standard. Excellent characters and interesting plot. Three generations linked by crime and punishment - cops and heroes, fathers, sons and lovers united at last my revelations that could bring a family to its knees.

Very disjointed and not very interesting. The characters were not fully developed and the story line was fantastical. I do not recommend.

Red Rain is about a cool maverick cop hero who mixes blood and attitude in taut, adrenaline-fueled prose. A protagonist who is interesting and a very good read.

This book is very shallow, childishly written and and far cry from the Kathy Reichs books you are used to reading. Absolutely mindless, but okay on a beach.

I was not really sure where this plot was headed. The characters are fully developed and the story line is interesting enough that I read it in two days. The ending was satisfying and it is one of her best books in my opinion.

Another "harvesting of the organs" book with a great twist. A quick and satisfying read.

An entertaining read. "The author of the bestselling Spenser novels introduces a heroine unlike any other - private eye Sunny Randall. She is street smart, sexy and suddenly thrown into a Boston mob war where high stakes politics and low-down killers conspire to make Sunny's first case her last..."

Another suspenseful and well-crafted book. I enjoyed the characters and the plot was well thought out and completely believable.. It makes you think about decisions you may have made in your own life for reasons you cannot understand and that puzzle you even today.

I normally appreciate books by Jonasson but this one was incredibly boring and the ending was a complete let down. If you are a fan of his books as I am, this is one to take a pass on.

"Someone's making death threats in Dixie - against a Thoroughbred horse destined to be the next Secretariat. At the owner's request, Boston P.I. Spenser hoofs it down south - where the lies are buzzing and the dying is easy." A great read!

Probably one of the worst books I have ever read. Makes no sense, characters are not interesting at all and the ending is just plain stupid.

"Stocked with fascinatingly creepy characters, Coben's keeps-you-guessing mystery is terrifying. The tension does not build slowly, it snaps and crackles right from the get go... The only plausible reason for setting down this book is to make sure that your front door is locked and double-bolted." Torn cover is the way the book was sold to show the title. It is done by design.

A very well written mystery that highlights the extensive work that goes into trying to solve a murder with almost no clues. Well written and easy to follow, the procedure of finding the murderer is painstakingly mapped out and keeps you on your toes trying to figure out who it is.

Exciting from first to last page. Great character development and finally puts a nemesis out of the picture.
