Rarely do I find myself so involved with the story that I do not immediately jump out of the car -- I have a 45 mile commute and I can get terribly sick of looking at the world through a windshield. Angels & Demons kept me in that seat! An engrossing novel, I really wasn't ready for it to end.

I'm fairly new to Pat Conroy's writing -- but I'm hooked. The phrasing, the ideas, the word pictures -- I was listening to a master tell a story.

No wonder they made a movie out of it! This was a terrific story -- a love story about a real grown-up woman who falls in love with a real grown-up man. Well-written, well read. You can listen to this one in your car, and even leave the windows open and not blush at stop-lights. However, towards the end, plan to be stopped somewhere. I was in tears and driving that way is not terribly wise!
