I liked this book. I didn't realize the main character was from a series of books by the author. So now I have to start at the beginning. Main character is Sheriff Joanna Brady and the story revolves around and murder mystery and her handling her personal life. Interesting read.

Teenage girls start disappearing from a "safe" neighborhood. Some one is targeting girls with long, blond hair and brown eyes. Girls that look like Kathleen's daughter. Why? Read the book to find out her secret.

In Texas a serial killer is executed, taking to his grave the identity of his only child.
In Boston a 9 year old girl is abandoned and then adopted by a wealthy young couple.
20 years later, Melanie Stokes still considers herself lucky. Until...she starts having visions, a reporter starts investigating her past and the first note arrives saying "You get what you deserve."
Good book. Keeps you guessing until the very end. True thriller/mystery.

This is the story of one summer in the life of Natalie Simon, creative VP of a major New York ad agency, hard drinking, sexy lady, woman in control of her life.
This the the story of the summer when it all almost falls apart.
She's had it! Her immature tyrant boss--"boy wonder" Peter Marcus-makes her feel like she's losing her touch. Her smug husband--pipe smoking writer Jerry Weber--finally agress that their marriage is a sham. Her sixteen-year daughter drives her crazy, and even her best friends get on her nerves.
That's why she's sunk every penny she has into a beach house on Fire Island. To escape from it all. But problems like Natalie's don't just go away.

This book is about 3 women affected by rape and murder. They band together to seek justice against the man that committed the crime. It has some twists and turns and keeps the reader interested. I highly recommend it. And after reading it I am seeking other books by the same author.
