Trash.
I worry about the messages our children are getting from this book. Please, don't let anyone in their formative years read this.

Entertaining and occasionally thought-provoking. Not my favorite my Hornby but shows his strong ability to write well through multiple voices.

This is one of the best books I have read in the past few years. The details of daily life and the emotions and actions of the characters are great. She has really captured the "inbetween" life of the characters. Also it is beautifully written.

Very good. Oprah loves it you should too.
An interesting story about American children growing up in the Congo in the 1950s/1960s.

If you like Pynchon and convuloted plots you will probably like this although it isn't his best.
