This books relays to us life in another country - a part we know little about. Adequately written to hold the reader throughout, however, the ending was abrupt, anti-climactic, even. My only thought was "Is there a sequel?"

Having read just about all of King's other works, I came upon this title and thought I had found an unknown treasure. HOWEVER, I just could not connect with this book. In past experience with this author I could not wait to finish the book to see how it all comes together. With this title I just wanted the nonsense to end. UGH.

A roller coaster of events and emotions in the life of a young girl make for a most entertaining read. Many laugh out loud moments come with this book! Loved it!

I should have expected from the title, the language used in this book. The tongue-in-cheek insults did not appeal to me - I did not make it to chapter 3. Good info, negative format.

This book has an interesting plot line. Alice forgets ten years of her life after a fall. The unfolding of her story causes you to consider how one's values change throughout life. As I was reading, I wondered what my 28 year old self would think of my now 38 year old self!
Great read!
