Enjoyed the book, but I did skip over most of the romance/sex scenes. Sometimes the author would spend 3 - 4 pages describing "exactly" what the two main characters did to each other, and with what. Once I saw the pattern I would skip over a few pages until they finished and could move on.

One of Cornwell's best works.

Not only made me seek out more Cameron Cooke novels, but also made me look for other submarine novels.

This one was a page-turner and held my attention throughout the book. I usually don't like series, but Wood's words make the reader want to seek out other "Will Lee" novels to see what happens to this interesting character. The settings are fully-described, without burying and boring the reader with details. It seems as if you are on the boat with Will, and watching the action to see what will happen at the same time.

The book held my attention. I am not sure about the accuracy of the naval information, but it seemed very detailed without losing my interest.

I have always enjoyed Patricia Cornwell's works, but I think the first books were her best. This one, however is better than "Blow Fly."

If you like Deaver's novels, you will also enjoy this compilation of his short stories.
