Anthem is a story of human extremes. It is as well-written as all of her writings. In this story, society has worked to solve the problem of our destructive natures by eliminating all reference to self, and working only for the collective. As with all of her work, it is a startling view of the consequences of human nature's tendency to create blanket statements or policies to solve a problem.
Anthem is a short read. This version has the original text in the back, complete with strikeouts and re-writes.

Not being a religious person, this was not a title I would have picked up voluntarily. However, it was recommended by a friend, and I was quite impressed with the content.
Setting aside the conversation with God, this was a great book about living your best life, free of guilt and fully alive. Definitely worth the read.

I really enjoyed this book. If you like the writing style of Da Vinci Code, you'll like this book.

I would say this is one of Barbara Kingsolver's best novels. The title of the novel works on several levels within the story, and brings to life the reality of many girls across the country who are victims of circumstance.
It is a very compelling story that pulls the reader in. Highly recommended.

The Giver is an amazing look into the psyche of humanity, and what makes us human. Although it is technically a young adult or children's book, this is a good book at any age. I definitely recommend the book over the movie, as the movie misses so many of the underlining subtleties that come through in the characters.

This was an oddly intriguing book. I picked it up out of desperation, not expecting much, but was pulled in. Oddly intriguing just about sums it up!

Eve Howard writes her erotica well, with clear plot and character development. The erotica is detailed enough to keep you intrigued, and the story is good enough to keep you interested.

This was an intriguing read for a preteen boy. A well-written introduction to fantasy and imagination.

This book definitely ranks as one of Heinlein's best works. The premise is intriguing, as is his idea of the future of our country, especially in light of when the book was written. This author is definitely one of my favorites.

The first half of the book was laugh-out-loud funny. Definitely worth the read for that section. The second half wanders a bit into the time AFTER their Appalachian Trail hike together, and that is a little less entertaining. But overall, a good read.
