Overall I enjoyed this book. It was very clever and the plot resolution was not what I had expected at all, which was quite refreshing.
It did, however, take me a couple hundred pages before I really got into the story and got to the point that I couldn't put it down in anticipation of what was going to happen next.
On the upside of this one, probably only, complaint Larsson did spend a lot of time on character development. I began to really like Blomkvist, and got to know some of Salander's darkest secrets.
I recommend this book if you are someone who can be patient enough to wait out the less exciting parts to get to the really good stuff.

I enjoyed this book enough to get the second one, in fact I had already decided only half way through. I like the fact that I'm not reading about your typical, same old vampire. I also like that it was a pretty quick read. Well written, although the main character can get a little annoying since she blabs a lot but you get through it non the less and onto the good parts!
