I loved this book; when I picked it up, I felt like I was entering another world, one of peace and quiet and honesty. The author, who is most known for her children's science fiction writing, here writes for adults. If one has ever wondered what genius is behind the "Wrinkle in Time" series, reading this is much like having a conversation or a peek into her personal journal.
I highly recommend this book.

In line with Maguire's other work, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister is dark and mysterious, complete with morbid twists and a new (realistic but perhaps not as charming) take on a familiar story.

The fifth book of the "Abram's Daughters" series: I enjoyed these books as light and easy reading. Each one is very character-driven and reveals a deeper side to already-loved characters.

The Shell Seekers is the warm, convincing saga of three generations of Keeling women, women with whom readers will connect emotionally as they fall in love and battle heartbreaks in a world of glamour and charm, and conversely, simplicity and peace.
