A large book of short articles, this book is good for when you have a few minutes that you have to wait on something and nothing to occupy your mind. Very interesting.

It's amazing how short the classics actually are in some cases. I flew through this book. It was a very emotional ride, set in a nightmare future that's all to possible...

Ms. Kingsolver has a talent for writing hauntingly surreal and beautiful descriptions of the world around her. Very inspiring to me.
I would certainly recommend The Bean Trees as well as it's sequel Pigs in Heaven.

This book is a lot of fun. I originally listened to it as an audiobook at work and got several funny looks from ppl when I was laughing out loud.

Mind you, It's been better than a decade since I read this book, but it's not bad. Book 7 of the Xanth series, before the series became a clearing house for readers to pawn off puns on the author. Not bad, but not exactly a classic either.

Everything cyberpunk is based off of this on some level. A very good story.

Very interesting. Told in a diary format. We all think we know how much we could save if we tried this experiment, but that's not really the focus of the book. A lot of interesting observations on modern life and consumerism. I was born in 1978 and it really fascinated me to hear from someone who lived through that time period in their twenty-something years.
Parts of this book kind of made me mad. Not at the author, but more from learning what life was like before crippling debt set in on everyone...

Book 4 of the Apprentice Adept series. Again, it's been over a decade since I read it, but I have to admit in retrospect it's one of the better series I read from this author.

A fun ride. I'm glad I got it on here. The author comes off as a little naive about the world around her, but I guess that's the premise of the book, so what do I know?

Beautiful story. But then, I can't help but recommend just about anything I've read by Vaughn...

Always love Sandman. I personally think the series doesn't pick up till the second volume, but it's still very, very good. Also very graphic...

Strangers in Paradise is always good. Even if you're not into "Superhero" comics, it's hard to say no to this series once you give it a shot.
