thought that this book was longer than it needed to be. there was a lot of information in this book but i was really bored with it and wished that it would have been more fast paced.

From Baghdad, With Love : A Marine, the War, and a Dog Named Lava
Review Date: 7/18/2010

this book was a very quick read. there are a few gory parts but you've got to keep telling yourself this is what happens in iraq. It was great to know that troops in iraq felt a little more at home when lava was around. a really good book. I would recommend this book to a dog lover, or someone who wants a little inside to the war in iraq and what soldiers go through.

This is a very fast read, and it's almost hard to put down. The book is a fun book to read about a girl who is in love with 2 different boys who happen to be brothers. Most people can relate to the way Belly is feeling in the book. Overall i'd give this book 4 of 5 stars.

Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan: Eyewitness Accounts of the Occupations
Review Date: 2/1/2012

This is a book that I believe everyone should read. This book really opens up your mind about war from the soldier, civilian, and parents who have lost their soldiers points of view on the war. This is an inside to what really goes on in the military, war, and how veterans are treated when they return home. I couldn't believe the words that were written on these pages. Part of you wants to think it's not true, but when there are pictures on some of the accounts to prove to you, your stomach turns. This book will make you look at the government, military, and war differently. 5 out of 5 stars. Couldn't put it down.
