Irregardless of who wrote this book, it is a book anyone can relate to.
It's mostly autobiographical about a boy who has to cope with losing most of what means most in his life as a child. His last hope is a bicycle, but receiving a special home made gift from his mother sparks the same bad attitude that many of us have shown and many have had to deal with.
Some parts of this book were based on events that happened later in his life, but the boy and his reactions to how life takes us on a ride we can't always control, how we take the people who love us most for granted, and how there's always hope.
It's an easy-to-read story, not so long as to get tiresome, and I really enjoyed it. My local waiting list grows as friends discuss it.
It's kinda like watching the Hallmark channel!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this book because I didn't know what lions and lace could have in common.
The story takes place in New York, perhaps around the turn of the 20th century. The irish were trying to find their "place" in the new land they were hoping to call home.
Here, Trevor "the PRedator" Sheridan learns early how to get the wealth and women he wants. An expert at games of power, he played one that would destroy all the famous families that have snubbed him, including the Van Alens. Little did he know the sweet torture he was inflicting upon himself!

I was so happy to get THREE KK books in one nice hard cover book. I had seen Maggies Miracle on Hallmark, but the others were a new experience. I loved all of them! Gideons Gift had a wonderful twist, Sarahs Song was heartwarming, and the way the red gloves featured in all the stories was amazing! I have never read a KK book that I was disappointed with.
