Knowing how good Amelia Bedelia books are, I snatched this up before my great-niece and nephew came to visit for a few days. They loved reading it along with the other Amelia Bedelia books I got, and so did my husband and I!

I thought I had found my favorite author previously, but now I've found my new favorite! I read this book before the first in the series, but now have ordered that and any others I can find. Kathy Herman is an awesome author--keeps you in suspense throughout the book, but openly brings God into the story, even helping you make applications to your own life. Superb!

My husband and I read this book together, and did we ever enjoy it! It was especially exciting because we were listening to David Jeremiah teach on Queen Esther and Mordecai at the time also, and this put "real feelings" into the true story. The same way that historical fiction helps me understand and remember specific events, dates, etc. in history, this story helped us better understand the book of Esther. Highly recommend!

This book was even more enjoyable than the first in the series.I hadn't really believed this was a real group of people, German immigrants who lived in Iowa in the early 1900's, so was surprised to see that there is even a village to visit now and learn more about these devout Christian believers. I enjoyed the humor when Grandmother had her Alzheimer's "episodes".

My husband and I both have really enjoyed Opal, after the first 2 books in the series. Lauraine Snelling has such a good way to engage her readers in the story and LIFE of the characters in her books. After meeting Opal as the little girl who was so inquisitive and funny, yet hard-working and others-centered, it is good to know her as a young woman with a passion for working with horses, and questions about life and LOVE. Jacob enters the story, too, with a story of his own, and a young son who doesn't even know or trust him. The story is a gripping one!

I enjoyed this book immensely. It was slightly similar to Amish fiction I've enjoyed, but then again, somewhat different, a pleasant change, by a new to me author. I'm now enjoying the 2nd in the series and looking forward to the 3rd, too!

Finally had a chance to read this final book in the Adams County series and was so glad I did. I wasn't as impressed with the second in the series, but this one has more mystery to it. I do find Jerry Eicher's work to be different than the numerous Amish fiction books written by female authors, but that isn't all bad. Just different, but still good.

I just finished reading Small Town Girl for the second time, this time to my husband as we rode together in the car. We both enjoyed it immensely. Kate is definitely the main character, REAL, with a real love for her family and her God and questions about life and the world. Without giving away the story, I'll say that you need to read it and make your own judgement. I think you'll be glad you did! This follows Angel Sister.

Wonderful book for young and old readers! Grandsons will enjoy this, as well as their grandparents.

Although I had not read books by Cindy Woodsmall before, I tried this one, (actually 3 stories) and am SO glad I did! It took me a while to finish it, since this is a very large book and I had much work to do, including keeping my 10 month old grandson 3 days a week. I also kept going back in it to make sure I had my characters right. I enjoy Amish books anyway, but this one is probably one of the best I've read. Very heart-wrenching!
