I found this book a bit tough to read. The first half has many history lessons, and many different names and charecters. About half way through the book I started enjoying the action, rather than all the lessons. Once I got to "the story" I couldn't put it down! But it took a long time to get there.

Finding Anna is an excellent book. The history is good, despite it being fiction. I could feel the pain, smell the smoke from the burning town, and fell in love with the charecters. I decided to purchase more copies of this book and use it for my next book club meeting.

I think this was my favorite in this series. A mother's love for her child is never ending. As Angelica has to deal with her son's cancer, she also has to deal with the pressures of home life, her daughter, husband and school district, her parents. How can one woman bear so much? Her faith in God is standing firm, but will He heal her son in the way she desires? Is what she desires God's will? Read the book to find out!

This is a fun book about an elderly woman who loves life and everyone around her. She has decided to work in a home for women and spends time loving them and trying to help them. She is willing to risk her own safety to let these abandoned women know she cares for them. because they sense her love is genuine they slowly open up to her.

Homecoming is a book written for young adults reading level, but has such a good story that adults will enjoy it also.
It is about four children that are deserted by their mom and have to find their own way through towns and cities, trying to reach an aunt's house, where they think they will find shelter and safety.
The kids are resourceful and manage this trip with only about $12.00 in their pockets. They entertain themselves during many miles of walking and they try to operate with total integrity. While reading this book, I wanted to pick up the youngest child and hug him!
This book is a good reminder to us that when we help out someone in need, we have no idea what the long term benefits might be.

This is a sweet story about the misconceptions two people make about each other. They have not yet met, but learn to like each other through notes. When they finally, meet the misconceptions are cleared up, and they are both pleasantly surprised.
