Lance has problems with one of his actors, so when the guy playing Antony appears dead, he's the main suspect. Since he's a well-known local, the Ashland police bring in a detective from Medford to lead the case. Jules and friends try to get Lance off the hook, but since he was found with the murder weapon, and drenched in the victim's blood, it will not be easy.

Very cute ghost story/romance/mystery.

New series to me, but I had to keep checking that it was the first one in the series because the narrator kept referring to the MC's previous investigations. All in all, it was a fairly good mystery with some unexpected twists.
Abby, a farmer and beekeeper, is taking some of her honey to the pastry chef in town, but when she walks into the kitchen, she finds him dead on the floor. It looks like he hung himself, but then, who cut him down, and where is his apron and the rope? With the help of policewoman Kat and the chef's brother, Phillippe, Abby looks for the killer.

Mike asks his mom for help. His childhood BFF is in prison for murdering his wife. Mike just can't believe he did it. Phyllis, with the help of Sam and lawyer D'Angelo, go about trying to figure out who did it. I did not guess the killer, and some of the recipes look yummy. I've read several of this series and like it.

Another darker cozy from Susan Wittig Albert. This one deals with coaches having sex with students. His murder is not the one being investigated, though.

True crime (sort of). A woman is dead after a minor accident, and her husband sues Ford for faulty air bag. But as the court discovery proceeds, the lawyer finds that she may have been strangled prior to the accident, and the crash staged as a cover up. Based on a true story. Kind of dry and a lot of jargon, but interesting.

New to me series. I enjoyed the setting, but I felt I didn't really 'get to know' the characters. There were also so few possible suspects, that the killer had been towards the top of my list for a while. There are a couple of recipes in the back. I will try the next one in the series, but if it's not better, I won't continue with the rest.

Older cozy (1943) with some editorial mistakes, but a fun read anyway.

Spring has sprung in Ashland and love is all around. Carlos is in town, Thomas and Sterling are planning announcements, and even Lance is giggling and drinking beer. Jules is thinking of opening a seasonal coffee & ice cream stand near the Railroad park, but a homeless man is killed nearby and vandalism is rampant in that area. Jules wonders if the vandalism and death are connected, and sets off to find what is going on. Meanwhile, she wonders if Carlos will stay or go back to the ship, what Thomas and Sterling are up to, and why is Lance drinking beer. Nice recipes included.

Lee and Joe are being stalked and framed for the murder of the town's crank.

Nice cozy in the TenHuis Chocolade series. Lee is getting annoying e-mails from a business contact, but when local computers come down with a virus and 2 bodies turn up, she thinks there's more to the e-mails than she thought.

Cookie burglars, raccoon babies, Tzarist imitation jewelry and old army buddies all mix in to bring confusion to Warner Pier. Lee is curious why there are snack burglaries, but since no one has been hurt -yet- she's more concerned about trapping the raccoon family that has moved into the alley behind the chocolate store. But then the violence escalates, with a store owner trapped into a storage room, a dead deputy in the alley, and claims of large lumpy things hanging about.
This mystery was a bit confusing at times, but everything gets wrapped up in the end, and I was not sure who the killer was.
