All I can say is "Wow" because this book is on the edge-of-your-seat intense. I have enjoyed the whole Jane Whitefield series with each book getting better than the last. The concept of guiding people out of their old world and inventing new lives for them while changing their whole thinking pattern is intriguing. I spend some of my time thinking of all that I'd have to change in order to be someone else. Jane's thinking is crisp and follows paths that you often overlook. Then, there are the bad guys that are trying to find them and/or her. Every time I think Thomas Perry has covered all the bases, he comes up with a new concept for the next runner.

This one was fun. Humor and twists. I love the way the author includes mixed up references to our present world. The group of scoundrels makes me feel it's sort of an Ocean's Eleven in space. The book is a fast read and one of the author's more entertaining.

I absolutely loved this book. It's funny, has twists galore, and action. I enjoyed the short, snappy interplay among the characters.

There is a little bit of everything in this book. I assumed there would be good information on the running of the race, but the biggest surprise was the flat out hysterical humor. I was reading this at the hairdresser's while waiting on a haircut, and I was laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face. I was afraid they'd ask me to leave. I might chuckle now and then, but I seldom laugh out loud with a book. I have passed on copies to other family members to read because I felt they would find this book a jack of all trades. Funny, tense, informative, and just an all around good read.
