Loved the title more than the story. Seemed more appropriate for a little boy versus little girl gift.

An easy page-turner .... loved it. Can't wait to share with my computer savvy nephew.

I love to give this book as a baby gift especially if the newborn has an older sibling! The parents have given it rave reviews and say the pre-school siblings have really enjoyed it as well! It was also a Caldecott honor book. Hopefully it will come out as a board book soon .....

I wish I had never read this book and would not recommend anyone else read the book-- it was not harmless and the ideas are very dangerous/troubling. This book should not have received the Newberry Medal Award or be selected for community reads! Also, the author is not willing to discuss the book or the reasons she wrote the book at community presentations.

A little slow in the beginning especially if you are not familiar with Boston.

Nice fiction that depicts a strong, female teenager juggling sports, friends and family after moving to a new town. Includes a budding romance/friendship. Recommend for early teens.

My 9 year old nephew loved this book and couldn't stop talking about it! Of course, he loves toads, frogs and reptiles but it was big hit. He can't read to Toad Heaven now!!!
