Extremely good information in this book for attacking zone defenses and the offenses were very good and I have used many of these successfully in my 15 year coaching career.

Counting Coup: A True Story of Basketball and Honor on the Little Big Horn
Review Date: 8/25/2009

This is one of the best books that I have ever read. I started reading the book because I am a girl's high school basketball coach. The book is much deeper than a sports book. You learn about the culture of the Native Americans both good and bad from their perspective and from our perspective. It was a very educational and heartwarming story.
The first chapter or two were a little slow as the author lays the foundation for the story but stay with it. It will bewell worth your time.

One of the best baseball books ever. This book goes into my top 10! Words can't describe the book adequately. You'll just have to read it.

The Power and the Darkness: The Life of Josh Gibson in the Shadows of the Game

This was a great book which gave a lot of insight into the Negro Leagues history and it's operation. Key owners and players were highlighted. The book gave insight into the mood of many white Americans who felt that these players should have been given the opportunity to play in the major leagues as far back as the early thirties. The book showed how different the lives of black players in the 1930-40s were from white players and how much less the negro players were paid compared to their white counterparts. A wonderful biography of the best hitter in black baseball.
