Over-the-top style of humor that all might not care for. Ridiculous/impossible situations but it hangs together once you get into it.

We used this book a lot when we were in London. Very helpful for finding streets to cut through and for the handy sized maps of both streets and the subways.

Slot-Machine Kelly: The Complete Private Eye Cases of the One-Armed Bandit

These are interesting stories from the 1960's. They are printed in the order written and show the development of both the character and of Dennis Lynds, the author. Particularly insightful were the comments by the author at the beginning of each story.
