"Thirty-nine steps--I counted them..." This cryptic message, scrawled in a dead man's hand was all that Richard Hannay had to go on. It was the only clue to the dread cult called Black Stone, and to the man with eyes lidded like a hawk. Hannay himself was a fugitive, wanted for murder. But he knew that unless he solved the riddle of the thirty-nine steps, the life of a nation--and Richard Hannay--would soon be finished.

Hilarious look at life of "singleton" in Britain. Echoing "Pride and Prejudice" in a modern way, it is a very enjoyable read.

A great story about a lion who changes his appearance and then his friends don't recognize him. A good lesson for kids about putting too much emphasis on looks.

I loved this book. There is a devotion and Bible verse for each day of pregnancy. This book is very slightly worn because of being such a help for my pregnancies.

This book is based on a Disney Channel movie. Although it is not great literature for adults, my children liked it. It is about a teen boxer who becomes a Double Dutch jump rope champion. It has themes of communication with parents, different genders trying different sports, and enjoying what youdo.
