As someone who works for several orthopedic surgeons this book helped answer a lot of questions I didn't want bother the doctors with. Even if you are a patient, or simply curious the author has written a book that is easy to read and informative without making you feel intimidated. You are sure to get an "ah ha! So that's why they...." at some point during the book. I recommend it for a quick, good-to-know sort of read.

This book was so fascinating to me. Not only I got to learn the insides of a doctor's office. But the author's patient's lives were riveting to me. I wanted to know what happens with this patient or how the author handles a certain situation. It's an awesome book and will keep you hooked, I recommend it!

This is a good feel book and it made me gush all through it. This is an adorable gay man raising a darling girl. By the end of the book, I had wished I had an uncle as awesome as he is! Looking for a good read, this is it!

This book is a sweet and aching book about her grieving through the death of her daughter. It's fragile and incredible real and well written. The author's daughter would be so proud to have her as her mommy. Be sure you're ready to sniffle, and take deep breaths as this is a book that hits you right in the heart.

I didn't watch, "One Day at a Time" or have heard a single note of any Mamas & Papas. I only heard of their names and could attach Mackenzie Phillips and John Phillips to their occupation. I didn't experience drugs or quite the way she was raised. Nor do I care for celebrity memoirs much. But this one is different. If you couldn't relate to Mackenzie Phillips in her memoir, her story moved in a nice flowing way. I found myself having a hard time putting the book down and picked it up every chance I got. Fascinating stuff, raw, and painfully real. I wanted to know what happens next. Good book. I especially appreciated the paperback version where there is a postscript added to the end of the book.

I couldn't put this book down. Partly I was so intrigued about her father. I haven't found a book that resonated so much of my own father. It was like reading my own life! Even if you couldn't relate--it still is a personal, rich and superb book.

I could not put this book down. This woman went through quite a roller coaster of a ride through her unexpected pregnancy. Quick, easy read that will keep you entertained and wanting to know what happens next. You won't be disappointed!
