this is a book intended for children 8 to 10 yrs. old. Very informative about sharks. It is 32 pages and suppose to have a model you can build, but usually only the book is available. My grand kids loved looking at the pictures and learned quit a bit from the book.

I had a hard time at first because I was use to reading about the midshipman - admiral the marines were always in the back ground. But I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the others in this series.

When Erin Scott left Ty Wade, she'd vowed never to return. Because of him she'd wrecked her car, her career--and lost their baby. And now Ty wanted her back. Without her, jobs would be lost. The future of the Staghorn Ranch depended on her return. Erin cared deeply for the devoted staff of his ranch. But how could she face the man she most hated--the man with a heart of stone and a will as tough as rawhide?
Unlikely Lover
Mari Raymond's matchmaking aunt had pulled a fast one. She'd tricked oilman Ward Jessup into inviting her young niece to his ranch--and persuaded Mari to accept the invitation and help the elderly rancher write his memoirs. But Mari quickly discovered that Ward was anything but old...and Ward found out that Mari was hardly a helpless young girl. And though they knew they'd been tricked, it didn't look as though either one of them was going to fight the power of Cupid's arrow....

I started not to get this book because of the the reviews. I'm glad I went ahead and ordered it. Yes things moved fast sexually, but that is part of the story line. This young woman would do any thing to protect her blind and partially deaf brother from her evil fathers manipulative ways. If that meant having a baby by this rich man" Cole" so be it. It also meant doing all that Cole ask of her for him to step in and protect her brother, even accept his body guard into their bed. I will not spoil it by telling how the story ended, I do hope you will read this your self.

A rich Southern boy, an escaped Yankee prisoner, and jealous Jeff Majors are all vying for Leah Carter's attention. A blockade-running sea captain, a beautiful rebel spy, a gunboat in hot pursuit, and the words of Scripture hitting like a hammer all add to the ongoing story of Jeff and Leah's tumultuous world during the Civil War.
Blockade Runner is the fifth of a ten book series, that tells the story of two close families find themselves on different sides of the Civil War after the fall of Fort Sumter in April 1861. Thirteen year old Leah becomes a helper in the Union army with her father, who hopes to distribute Bibles to the troops. Fourteen year old Jeff becomes a drummer boy in the Confederate Army and struggles with faith while experiencing personal hardship and tragedy. The series follows Leah, Jeff, family, and friends, as they experience hope and God's grace through four years of war.
