I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The author truly brings to life the age-old story of Spindletop. She lived and breathed this story for many years, after being given the records and proof of her families link, from her dying grandmother. It is a heartbreaking tale of "big money" stealing the inheritance from the rightful heirs of this fortune. Could not put it down!

If I wrote page after page of how much I LOVED this book, it still would still only capture half of what I truly felt during and after reading this novel. Such a wonderful read for a renewal of your spirit. Such a wonderful love story between man and woman, God and woman, and God and man. So many lessons to learn here! Thank you Francine Rivers for sharing your gift of writing with the rest of us!
