Lovely mystery--easy to read and no graphic sex or violence. Just a nice, comfortable read instead of summer re-runs. Not complicated or confusing. Just a nice read--

Bought it for my daughter--it was geared for older gals. She's only 16.

My high school daughter really liked this book.

The classic book we all read in high school--it's better now, with some life experiences behind me. A quick read, and fun to revisit my past, and see how times have changed, and not changed!

This was a very nice introduction to non-fiction. She loved the pictures of cats, and learned about some of the different breeds. Some of the information she knew, some was new learning--a nice way to improve reading comprehension! Nice book for a young child.

Grisham is brilliant. His experience as an attorney makes him excel at his craft. Better than any "Law and Order" on t.v. Take the night off and read a good book, instead!

Great short stories (only a page long) about Oregon from around the time of the Oregon Trail. My favorite was about the Wreck of the Peter Iredale, just north of what is today, Seaside. I have seen the remaining wreckage of that ship, mostly covered by sand. It was interesting to read the story after seeing the Peter Iredale last summer. This charming children's book is esp. fun if you are familiar with Oregon.

Great "Klutz" book for emerging magicians of ALL ages. Clear pictures with explicit, simple directions. Sprial bound, thick cardboard pages make this a good resource for anyone who wants a few great magic tricks to delight friends and co-workers--tricks that perhaps have been played on YOU sometime in the past! Fun Book!

Newberry Honor Book--I liked it, so did my children. Nice segway to talk about people with challenges! Good book for 3rd-4th graders, or just to have mom read to younger kids. Talk about the pain of exclusion with the help of this story.

Get this for your middle-school/high school daughter and just leave it where she'll see it. Great book--helps her identify feelings (crush, flirt, true friend); things girls often do that either attract or repel boys; helps identify boys that are "frogs" versus "princes" and offers quizzes to help determine if she is a "prince repellent" or a "toady magnet". Lots of self-esteem empowerment thoughts are offered. Where was THIS book when I was going through all that? Good, easy read for girls going through that tough time of social development.

Extremely helpful as I went through school to become a physical therapist. Really helped me understand a great deal, once I had learned the basic roots. This book covers a large range of roots and would be very helpful to anyone who uses new vocabulary. A great book and helpful reference.

I read this to my children in elementary school. There are some pictures. More importantly, there is information that is important to help develop a young person's understanding of the importance of respect for animals. This is for a parent to read to a bright, caring child, since it begs discussion along the way. Good stuff!

ugh...really awful to know the truth! Sadly, things in America are getting worse instead of better. Read this and re-evaluate your lifestyle. I'd rather give my kids cigarettes than French fries.

This is a great mom/daughter book even if you're NOT into American Girl dolls (even my sons had fun with the recipes). They are simple fun things to make, for sleep-overs, holidays, etc. There are some really cute, fun activities. Turn off the t.v.--make a fun treat and encourage that creative part of your child's brain!
Fun!

Great way to teach new golfers some terminology and rules. Small book--the size of one of those small books by the check-out at the grocery store, but lots of info. It covers everything. Not wordy--pictures and words cut to the chase so you can read it while you're waiting for your turn at the tee.

So simple--I have saved HUNDREDS of dollars through the years cutting my kids' hair. Easy pictures, very basic. You can do this--it's NOT rocket science!

When I read Amy Tan, I have such a greater understanding of life. She is able to show me obstacles in a way that makes me examine my own heart. What a very special author.
