Lovely story about a woman hiding from the horrors in her past and how she learns to accept her past. Told as a story within a story, beautifully and compasionately written.

Interesting account of the discovery of a painting lost for hundreds of years. A true story that reads like fiction.

Not enough happened in this book to justify its 400 pages. It is a story of love, what some people will do in the name of love, adultery, and the unevenness of some relationships. It was okay, but definately not my favorite Picoult book.

Very engrossing novel about a time lost to history. The author seemed to do an excellent job of research and it was fascinating to read about life in ancient Egypt. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

I enjoyed the multiple stories spanning hundreds of years that come together to make up the story of a 500 year old religious book. The modern day central character brings all the stories together in one cohesive history. There are many cultures and important moments in history that weave together this enjoyable book.
