I guess my expectations were too high. I'm done with the 3rd disc of 9 and I'm still waiting for a plot line. I'm pretty sure I will be reposting this soon.

This is a charming follow up to Mr. God, This is Anna. It is a very short book and I don't think it would effectively stand alone, but an excellent addition to Fynn's first book.

I saw the movie when it came out and thought it was excellent. I still think that but after reading Argo and learning the back story and all the history I really need to see the movie again. The book is fascinating, especially if you are a lover of history.

This was not an Anna Pigeon book. I knew that going in and enjoyed it as much as the Pigeons.

Very well researched; I learned a lot about SF history in the 2 years it covers. It's pretty repetitious in the descriptions and locations of the fires.

I really like this author but I prefer to read her rather than listen.

I'm glad I discovered this author. This is a fun, easy read with a Graftonesque feel.

I liked this book (on CD). I haven't read Grisham for several years because he has become rather formulaic. But I have enjoyed his non-lawyer writings such as The Painted House and this one.

This was a heartbreaking, true story of a deadly storm in the Midwest. I learned how devastating real life can be.

Of course I loved it! How could you not love Andy Carpenter? I hate to see the series end.

Being born and raised in No. Cal. I was surprised to see that this book was still remarkably accurate despite it being over 20 years old. Quoted prices were understandably inaccurate. I enjoyed the trip back through memory lane.

Too mystical for me. I must not have enough Irish blood in me.

This was written in 1994, so the info is dated but still very interesting if you are a Letterman fan.

Andy Carpenter has replaced Kinsey Milhone and Stephanie Plum as my go-to light mystery.

Dr. Gregory is one of my favorite series.

I loved this series. Any history buff (California) should read them.

This story gave a great representation of the allure of Niagara Falls. Having said that, it is also a dark story. It also goes into some detail regarding Love Canal.

This was a beautiful book.
The first part was full of dark truths about growing up in the South after the civil war. The second part showed us Yosemite and it's light truths. I felt the darkness and light to the core of my being.

I have re-read this book a number of times and continue to laugh out loud every time. A friend who is building a house in Baja assures me the trials and tribulations are accurate.
