I also have the first in the series: Blue Dahlia, but the cover is missing. Let me know and will be glad to send it. The book is in good shape except for that. If fell of while a friend was reading it.

Dana Stabenow has a couple of series, but the Kate Shugak stories have the most in the series. They are all set in the outback of Alaska. I really enjoy them, but Alaska has always entrigged me and a place I have always wanted to visit. They are about difficulty living in the outback and simple living of life.

This is the third in the series of Dream of Me and Believe in Me. I have that book posted with two books in one on my bookshelf.

I used this book for 3 months and got a lot of good recipes out of it even though I don't follow his diet anymore.

I love this series of Emily Brightwell's, Mrs Jeffries & the Inspector [which is the first book in the series]. They all take place in England in the 1800's. Mrs Jeffries is the housekeeper for the Inspector with Scotland Yard. Unbeknown to the Inspector, Mrs. Jeffries and his household staff help him to solve his cases. There are about 13 characters that are developed in the reading. They are a quick read about 250 pages long and always fun.

This is a really good book and unusual. It is about a white child who runs away from a father who is overcome with grief from the lost of his wife and cannot relate to a child. The child breaks her nanny out of jail and they run away together to seek her mother's family. They wind up being taken in by a 3 black women who own there own honey business. One of them was a nanny years ago to the childs' mother. This is set about the time of the civil rights movement. There are several sub stories going on, and I have not to tell you all the action or themes. I hightly recommnend the book.

I have read most of Dick Francis books, but this one is one of his best. It is written in conjunction with his son who did the research. for it.
