The timeless appeal of this classic book, written by a preacher with a worldwide ministry during the first half of the twentieth century, demonstrates the deep hunger for a saving knowledge of God present in each generation. Arthur Pink sought to give readers not just a theoretical knowledge of God but pointed them toward a personal relationship of yielding to Him and living according to His Biblical precepts.
Pink's book explores attributes such as God's decrees, foreknowledge, sovereignty, holiness, grace, and mercy, among many others, all packaged in a style especially useful for pastors, teachers, and Bible students. Our God who is above all names cannot be found through human searching alone, Pink teaches, but can be known only as he is revealed by the Holy Spirit through His living Word.

Imagine a wedding where the family prayed for the bride to have legions of children who would have dominion in the land for the glory of God! This was the blessing offered by the sisters of Rebekah upon marriage to Isaac. For six thousand years, belivers viewed children as a blessing and reward of the Lord. Only in the last seventy-five years has child prevention become acceptable in the Church. The modern, anti-child philosophy has changed our view of fatherhood, motherhood, family life and multigenerational faithfulness. But genuine questions persist: Does the Bible address child pervention? Is it ever "good stewardship?" What about "natural" family planning? This book makes the case that Christians should cry out to the Lord to bless the fruit of the womb.

Grace Raymonds Evil and Cure of A Passionate Temper, is the touching story of a young girl who possessed a violent temper and a tendency to be harsh. Grace comes to realize, after causing her sister injury, that allowing anger to rule in her heart was destroying her and would only grow, leading to worse and worse sins of hate and animosity. Through the influence of a kind teacher, Grace learns the way of salvation in Christ, and who can save her from her sin, so that she becomes an exemplary model of patience and longsuffering, to her family and all her friends.

When it comes to worship, the sad truth is that most Christians have traded their New Testament heritage for the hip and trendy, dispensing with the simplicity and beauty of New Testament worship. In this well-reasoned and exegetically sound treatise, Dr. Morecraft offers a principled defense for the Bible as the only guide for worship in the meeting of the church. In a day when the Sunday worship of evangelical churches is too often dominated by performers and youth culture, it is increasingly rare to find churches that take seriously the doctrine of sola scriptura and regulative worship.

If you loved the tv show My So-Called life then you will love this book. The detail in the book makes it seem like you are right there with Angela or watching it on tv. This book also gives us a great look into a 1990s high school and teenager's life.
