A GOOD zombie tale is hard to find. This is one of the better ones.

This book started my Wodehouse addiction. It's still my favorite. The characters and dialog are PERFECT! The plot is thick-twisty-turny-out-of-the-frying-pan-into-the-fire hilarious.
The story begins with Bertie Wooster visiting a silver shop with orders to "sneer" at a cow creamer from his Aunt Dahlia, and the whole thing goes wonderfully down hill from there.

One of the fiercest fighting regiments during the Civil War. The 41st Ohio saw combat in every major battle in the Western theater during the war. They were always reliable, and often played a pivotal role in turning the tide of battle. They were among the few hand picked men that broke through the Confederate lines during a daring nighttime pontoon boat raid that open the "Cracker Line", ending the seige of Chattanooga.
When this book was released in 1999 the owner of Blue Acron Press, Richard Baumgartner (historian, editor and author of several Civil War books), agreed to meet me in the parking lot of a Denny's in Huntington, WV, so I could take the book with me on a vacation trip of all the 41st OVI's battlefield sites. I've met him several times since then at Civil War events. I have several Blue Acorn Press books signed by Mr. Baumgartner. Sorry, I ain't trading those books.

This is a book about a man who turned his total obsession of hard drinking, partying and chain smoker into a total obsession with bicycling.
It's not just a book about becoming fitter by cycling, but also a book about an obsessive personality finding balance in life.

A well written account of the Manson Family killing spree.
For weeks I would find myself getting out of bed at night to double-check the door locks after reading of the random home invasions, tortures, and brutual killings at the hands of the "Family" in this book.

Every armchair-general's must read! It's said that Gen. Stonewall Jackson went by two books, the Bible and a book of Napoleon's maxims of war.

A GUY'S REVIEW:
My sister-in-law lent me a stack of her books. This book was in the pile, and for her sake I read it. It was torture. If this is one of MHC's best, then I'm done reading MHC. I told my wife that it reads like a bad Lifetime movie, so I wasn't surprised when she told me that alot of Lifetime movies are adaptations from MHC novels. Sorry girls, I had to give the guys fair warning. I'll just back away slowly now. ;)
