I had to sleep on this on before I wrote this review...That being said I didn't hate it but, I felt compelled to finish it-I wanted to know what happened to this main character.
I guess it had a message of not letting life pass you by....too close to my own reality.
I would love to know what other people think of this book.
By the way-I like Elizabeth Flock's writing because I did get sucked into the story....

A really different take on Philippa Gregory's writing. This is a fictional story and not based on any historical facts. Loved it-it took you right to the time period (turn of the century.) I hope she does more writing like this.

I liked this book-it's very in your face and it's brutely detailed. **Caution if your offended by bad language or homosexuality this book is not for you**

I loved this book-there's a reason why it was on the top sellers list for so
many weeks. I wished the story never ended! I can't wait for the next book!

Unbelievable true story. Very sad that a torture/killing of this magnitude could of taken place but, it did. If you can get through the trial and, all of the people that had a roll in it it is a worthy read.

My new favorite author! Being a New Yorker it's refreshing to read about NY in a time that I could only imagine. You'll be transported there.

Great book with a different perspective of how Christina and Christopher her oldest adopted children really were. Great quotes from alot of old Hollywood stars/friends and, a postcript from her other daughter Cathy. She talks about what it was like growing up with Hollywood Royalty.

I was a big fan of Chrissie Hynde and, was looking forward to reading this book. She has led a colorful life but, if you just want to know how many drugs she took and, where she has hitchhiked-you'll get this information. The last two or three chapters are about how the band came to be formed.

Book is well written but, didn't have a wow factor of a secret that had not been told. A story starts then another drama and, it kept on building like a soap opera. The story is all about the "what if's" in life and, discovery of the past that will never change.

This story could of been a great book. Sima was so needy that she forgot about any happiness she could of possibly had. Not a belivable character.

Loved it! Three stories are connected by different time periods and Alice Hoffman brings them all together as she always does.
